Yay, scanner.
Sunday, March 23rd, 2008Hi. I got a scanner, so I spent this weekend going through all of my negatives. I was going to scan them all then I realized that would take way too much time so I decided to choose my better ones instead and get all of the most recent rolls.
The following are presented chronologically.
This is my sister, it's off the fourth roll of film I ever shot and to this day is what I consider my best photo. I spent quite some time in PS cleaning it up and ordered a really large print of it I'm going to hang somewhere. It was taken around September/October '07, developed in Marathon, which I used simply because it's what my school uses.
Fast forward to Christmas '07. In front of the fireplace
From here on everything was developed in Xtol 1:1. My cousin and her husband were here with their son during the holidays.
My cousin (note how dirty my negative is)
New year, January '08. We were up in Sacramento, this is another cousin of mine
One of the first shots I took after I got all the chemicals to develop my film at home. Of course, it's a self portrait in the bathroom
At school, eating lunch, ran into a friend
From the passenger side of a car, guy was twirling the sign all around himself, decided it would make a cool photo. I thought I missed the shot, but it turned out nice
Cat
Mom plus cat
Barely recognizable man running away from my car.
On Vine, right before the freeway entrance, there's a huge hill you have to go up. Whoever drove this car decided it would be best to turn his wheels towards the middle of the street so in case his brakes failed his car would go hurtling into traffic.
Mom on phone
Car crash! Snapped as I was passing by, kind of missed the most important part...
Other cat. He's an indoor cat that acts extremely weird when he's outside.
Cat plus sister
Cat, sister, mom.
He'll crouch down low to the ground when walking on the driveway and roll around.
That's all I have for now. Everything was shot with a Canon AE-1 and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens. Everything shot on Tri-x 400, some of it was pushed to 800.
