Where was I?
January 19th, 2009
For whatever reason I found that I had a 24 exposure roll of Trix in my camera again.
Let's start with some boring ocean shots.
I printed this one on fiber, definitely like the way the water and waves looks.
Probably should have not chopped off the left side.
Uncle's car, thought it would make for a nice self portrait.
We walked out to this area, was between two houses, apparently a "secret" surf spot.
My uncle.
I turned around to take one last photo. The previous photos were taken where the trail leads here
Feeding dogs.
My uncle's (old) dog, Rudy.
Christmas Eve, my grandmother on the left, then my brother and sister.
Decided to open presents a day early this year.
After that we had our traditional dessert of rice pudding. My sister loves it.
Why hello!
Already asleep a moment later.
I bought my grandmother lavendar earl grey tea leaves. We made a pot to try it out and I'm very happy to say that she liked it.
Then decided to take three portraits, I think they'd make a nice triptych, grandmother, mother, and sister.
Our other cat with a bow on his head. He let it sit there before, but I was too slow to catch him like that. Caught him throwing it off, instead.
My uncle came over a little later. It was very dark, I didn't take much here because I figured they'd be blurry (and they were).
I feel like there's a huge gap between the last photo and the next. I'm not quite sure what happened. But, this is New Year's Eve, I spent it at my Uncle's house.
A neighborhood near him had all their lights still up. One house had a nightmare before christmas theme.
All the houses had their trees lit similarly, it was very impressive.
He has a boa. Her name is Victoria. She was my primary reason for spending my time down there. I wanted to handle her since, at that time, I was planning on purchasing one. (I have since done so)
Rudy lazing around.
iPhones
Doggies.
And then asleep.
Later that evening, when I finally arrived home.
At the reptile expo I bought my boa at. This guy had a green anaconda out. On my way there, I was wondering if anyone was going to have a decent sized one. It was cool to see one so close up and seemingly docile.
Only took that shot, it was packed and I was more interested in finding a snake than documenting it. Few days later took this from the passenger seat of my friends car. Even so, it seems there's always someone in the group that notices me and is staring right at me. I never notice until after I develop/scan the negative.
I have to remember that with a rangefinder I have to move it up a little if I want it to align correctly when shooting from inside a car or anything otherwise close up. Just a bunch of motorcycles behind us. Would have preferred it framed a little higher so you can see them better and less of Stitch.
He was cleaning the stars, I dunno why..
Huge street ad for HBO's show Big Love. They were handing out cheap earphones and you were supposed to plug it into the sign to hear different character's secrets. I listened to one of them for probably about 30 seconds and got bored of it.
This guy was photographing people interacting with it. He had a hasselblad out a little later on, which I thought was cool.
Dreamworks.
Thanks for viewing. If you have any comments, please feel free to share. :)
