editing
September 20th, 2009
So, in the span of a couple weeks I have been uber busy. I became President of the CSUN Photo Club, we're working hard on getting ready for our first exhibition. I've also been working hard on editing down my work into concise portfolios. I haven't gotten very far with that, yet. I do have one group that I think work wonderfully together, though. It's exciting.
Been shooting some color now since I am in a color photography class (traditional color printing in a color darkroom, too!). Portra 160 is amazing. VC moreso than NC. This is VC.
We had some fires (of course we did, it is so cal...) a few weeks ago. I went outside one morning and it was literally orange. I took some frames, but it didn't quite capture the ambiance.
From my house.
Rest of that roll was kind of a waste. First time I shot this specific film, the next roll of it is much better.
Camera porn?
Color class (if anyone cares this shot was taken with a voitglander 24mm f/1.4).
Do you see it?
Dinner.
At my school's darkroom, my professor on the right, Chuck on the left (he's always cooking).
In the crib.
Right after I was elected president of the photo club. Jay took this.
Eating lunch. I kind of want to print this one huge.
Had sushi (and sake!) with a few friends. One from high school, others new!
She (^) took a frame of me. Almost hit the focus.
iPhone.
Chef.
And, completely changing mood.. A toilet.
Highland bus.
Brunch.
She knew I was trying to take a picture of her eating (fork in mouth). I missed that moment, but did catch another one!
Cookies!
They tasted like Christmas!
Bunny!
Later, at coffee bean, this group was majorly inconvenienced by a small bug.
Inappropriate conversations cause these kinds of expressions.
I'll let you guess what this is...
Maybe this will be hint enough?
Home.
Coffee bean again. (This is my 3000th frame)
Birthday party (21st, too)!
His, on the left.
And a pizookie.
And... here's a second roll of Porta 160 VC, which I now love.
Coffee bean... again...
Above and below shots were at 1/15th, guess I'm getting better at handholding 'em.
Was also her 21st. Checking her phone, waiting until midnight.
I went back to the annenberg space for photography, hoping the restaraunt I went to before was open, but it wasn't. Made one frame (I've made the same type of composition in black and white). I think I like the color version better.
School campus.

I loved this light.
Script reading, waiting for class to start.
And, last frame, boring architecture.
Thanks for reading/viewing. :)
